Character: Saya is the main protagonist of Blood+. At the start of the series, she was already into her first year of awakening. She was under the protection of the Red Shield, the descendants of Joel Goldschmidt, the original adopted father of Saya during the 1800s. She had just woken up from her 30 year hibernation under the care of George Miyagusuku, a former operative of the Red Shield, and a veteran of the Vietnam War. She was still trying to recall her lost memories when a series of attacks was triggered, and she found herself fighting a battle she had forgotten. Along with her faithful Chevalier, Hagi, they were once again, working with the Red Shield to defeat her one and only enemy, Diva.
